In his later years Willie Reynolds, (Grandad Bill) suffered from dementia, a debilitating disease which slowly robbed him of his energy and cognitive abilities. After years of being cared for at home by John, it was decided in March, 2012 that his deterioration was too severe for him to be reasonably cared for any longer at home by John. He moved into Springboig Care Home on 26/03/2012, and enjoyed very good attention and care until he died on 29/09/2012. While he was in the Care Home, John visited him every day he possibly could, often twice a day. He prepared this Photo Album, with Louise's encouragement, to show the staff and visitors in pictures who Bill was and the life he had lived. The family found the care home to be excellent, with caring and attentive staff and good, sound management. The inspection reports reproduced here are a gentle tribute to Springboig Care Home, showing how it improved from 2011 ro 2012.
