The Reynolds (and other) Family Photographs

The George and Hilda Shaw Collection
click here	Hilda McGee (my mother’s sister) married George Shaw in 1938. After her death in 1999, a box of photographs ended up in my keeping, the accumulated memories of a lifetime together. Also in the box are many photographs of George Ellison and Margaret McGee who married in 1933.

Helena Dunne’s Albums
click here	After Lena’s death in 1979, two autograph books, a postcard album (containing as many photographs as postcards), a smaller photograph album and a dictionary came to rest in our house.

The Reynolds Family Album
Volume 1	History — This volume starts with the oldest photographs, a few survivors from the last years of the 19th Century, and gradually advances in time towards 1945, the year of my parents' marriage.
Volume 2	Expansion — This volume starts with my parents marriage in 1945 and records the growing family through to the late 1960s. It is arranged for the most part by date but some items are grouped by subject or as allied families.
Volume 3	Developement — This volume records the largely adult family, starting to go their own ways, and encountering the major milestones in life. I have re-issued the years 1965 - 1969 with additional content, and then continue to 1980.
Volume 4	Maturity — This volume records major anniversaries, the leisure activities of the retired and milestones in the lives of growing grandchildren (and others). It covers mostly the 1980’s, early 1990’s and increasingly sparse events through to 2010.
New	Afterlife — Photographs which have turned up after the DVD was finalised.

The Family negative collection
click here	A temporary home for scans from sundry negatives found around the house, approximately 1979 - 92. They should all appear in their rightful places in the Reynolds Family Album (mostly in Volume 4).

Mary & Brian’s Slides
click here	A box of slides, mostly attributed to Mary and Brian, dating from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s. These have been returned to Brian. There are other slides attributed to Willie and Queenie, 1970 - 1981, which are still in the house, as are the one set attributable to George & Hilda (1970).

(Yes, there were indeed some photos John had found from Mary & Brian.

He did not convert them into web pages, so neither have I. (Paul))

click here	Despite my preference for slides, there are some 110 films taken in the 1980s in the hills with a weatherproof camera, and in other places (to use up film mostly). Plus 35mm films taken in the 1990s mostly on Waverley trips.
