437 Amulree Street - Makeover

When Paul & Jillian bought 437, it needed some work, starting in the garden

01-First, remove the tree

02-Second, lets put up some fencing

03-Now, add some bushes with Moira's help

04-And, of course, the "man-cave"

05-Finally, the patio

First, remove the tree

Last look at the tree

Reduced to a pile in the garden

Viewed from another angle

then squeezed into a van and taken away

Second, lets put up some fencing

Starting point

Getting underway

Some posts appear

Paul's bike

A wee video

Later, George has to fix it!

Needed the fence to hide the rubbish!

A wider view

And a little bit tidier

Now, add some bushes with Moira's help

Some trees arrive

Helpful driver - tricky manoeuvre

Some for the side path

and the rest for the back

From the bedroom window

Moira take a bow

a wider view

What attention to detail!

but lookin' good!

another view

and another view

and here are the troublesom bamboo

And, of course, the "man-cave"

(eventually with a roof)

Is this a good sign?

With the pandemic, winter drags on

and on

and on

George uses the digger...

to dig a big hole...

and fill it with the bricks from the chimney.

Then some slabs are laid...

to form a base...

and we're all ready for...

the man-shed arriving.

A quick construction job

looks good from a distance

Very imposing...

but there's no roof!!

A few days later the roof arrives.

A quick coat of paint....

and we are looking very, very good!!!

Finally, the patio

From a very low starting position

Some expert assistance from George

Some advice, or is George doing all the work?

It's certainly taking shape

and looking good

and so are the Covid-19 lockdown visitors

The tiles are finally down

and the patio looks absolutely brilliant.
