437 Amulree Street - Makeover

When Paul & Jillian bought 437, it needed some work, and here's the outside story

01-Some frontal views

02-Painting the storm doors

03-Where's the back door gone?

04-Big changes to the rear!

Some frontal views

Before starting work

New windows

Primed doors - details below

Painting the storm doors

Starting to remove layers of paint

More layers

and more layers

Master builder Paul peeking out

Primed and rubbed down

Final coats on

Jillian heading to the hospital

Where's the back door gone?

Before work started

Where's the door gone?

A hole to run the power cable for the workshop

and the wall is now rendered ready for painting

Big changes to the rear!

(Big thanks to George McGill)

This is where we started

view of both houses

Trying out the garden before work has started

Work underway! The tree and the coalhouse have gone!

George starts preparing for the lintel for new doors.

Clearing the space for the new lintel

Looks like there's a small team here!

OK. The lintel is in

and now the old kitchen window has gone, plus a bit of the wall

That pipe's in an akward place

New windows! And a new back door (quite a big one)

Just look at that, the pipe has moved.

Someone's looking pleased with himself. Plus the wall has been rendered where required.

Starting the patio. What a nice pink sky.

Progress with the patio

and it's finally completed. Good Job.

That's quite a change from the old rear view.

This is where we started

Great Job. And stepping stones to the "workshop"
